BBA, EMBA (UPEI)


Lena completed Bachelor of Business Administration and the Executive Master of Business Administration program (EMBA), both at UPEI. She taught Introductory Marketing (Bus 1410) in 2019 and 2020, and she will be teaching Self-Employment (Bus 4680) in Winter 2022.


She has been with the PEI provincial government for the last 17 years. Currently, she works with Skills PEI where she administers a self-employment program, which provides assistance to individuals who want to launch their own business. In her role, she provides support and business counseling to
new entrepreneurs during their first year of operation. Lena works with her clients from the point of idea generation to market research to preparation of a formal business plan. She then monitors the progress of new business owners the majority of whom establish successful companies. She also works
with community organizations and employers promoting the provincial labour market programs with emphasis on self-employment and entrepreneurship development.


In addition, she has several years of direct experience in business management (as a co-owner of a company) as well as an extensive financial background.
