Azadeh Babaghaderi is a member of the UPEI Faculty of Business. She presently teaches Entrepreneurial Finance, International Finance, and Corporate Finance. Azadeh is currently completing her Ph.D. in Finance at Concordia University in Montreal. She holds an MBA degree from the University
of Northern Iowa, USA, and an MSc in finance from Shahid Beheshti University, Iran (with highest honors). Before joining UPEI, she taught Corporate Finance, Theory of Finance, and Real Estate at Concordia University, where she received ‘well above average’ evaluations in every course. Her expertise is in corporate spinoffs, governance, investor relations, and corporate social responsibility, and her research work has won multiple awards. Her research findings have appeared in media articles and interviews addressing corporate governance practitioners. Prior to her MBA, she worked as a senior analyst at investment banks.
