Sessional Instructor



Dr. Annerose Mauz is a sessional lecturer in the Faculty of Business at the University of Prince Edward Island, teaching intercultural and project management. She earned her master’s degree in biology from the University of Tuebingen, Germany, and her PhD degree (Human Biology) from the University of Ulm, Germany. Dr. Mauz held several senior positions in R&D in the Pharmaceutical industry. In her various responsibilities, she was involved in strategy development for several international initiatives and efforts and supported global submissions for new drug products to a number of international regulatory bodies. Dr. Mauz was a member of international project teams and was also responsible for managing global project teams in industry collaborations, which included members from different backgrounds regarding business areas, country, ethnicity, and/or company culture.


Besides lecturing in the Faculty of Business, her academic experience includes teaching graduate seminars at the Master and PhD levels (University of Tuebingen, Germany), as well as lectures for biomedical courses at the Atlantic Veterinary College at UPEI. In addition, she was responsible for establishing and delivering training courses for technical staff during her professional career. Furthermore, Dr. Mauz is a board member of a contract research organization in the life science field and serves since 2020 as an adjudication committee member on the Idea to Innovation Grants Program of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Dr. Mauz is also a certified coach and process consultant. During her years in industry she has been coaching staff and colleagues regarding personal and professional development. She is a member of the facilitator group for the Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development at UPEI.
