Jessica Strong, Ph.D., is a licensed and Board Certified clinical geropsychologist, Assistant Professor of Psychology. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Louisville, specializing in Aging and Neuropsychology. Dr. Strong completed her clinical psychology internship and clinical post-doctoral fellowship at the Boston VA Healthcare System, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. She holds two Bachelor’s degrees with majors in Psychology, German, and Piano Performance. Before beginning her graduate studies, she was awarded a Fulbright Grant to study the effect of music therapy on dementia and depression in Mannheim, Germany. Dr. Strong’s research focuses broadly on music and cognitive change, and music as an intervention in late life. She is also engaged in research and clinical supervision related to training in geropsychology.
