Richard Covey (b. 1979) is an active composer, collaborative pianist, theorist and educator. After completing studies in piano with Jamie Parker, and composition with Glenn Buhr, Richard completed his MMus and DMA degrees at the University of British Columbia. There, he studied with accomplished composers, Stephen Chatman, Keith Hamel and Dorothy Chang. Richard is an Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Composition at the University of Prince Edward Island, where he directs and encourages music creation of all kinds by students year-round.
